An introduction to who we are, what we are here to do, and how to use this handbook during your first weeks and beyond.
1.1 A Welcome from Leadership
Welcome to BBB. This handbook is the place to start when you have a question about how we work, what you are entitled to, and what we expect of one another. It is written to be read — not filed away — so keep it close during your first weeks and return to it whenever something comes up.
Leadership's commitment is straightforward: clear expectations, fair treatment, and honest answers. If something in these pages does not match your experience, tell your manager or the People team so we can correct it.
1.2 Our Mission
Our mission is to advance trust in the marketplace. Every role connects to that purpose, whether you work directly with the public or support the people who do.
That mission shapes how we prioritize work: accuracy before speed, transparency before convenience, and long-term credibility before short-term wins.
1.3 Our Values
Integrity, respect, accountability, and continuous improvement guide everyday decisions. They are meant to be usable: when a choice is unclear, pick the option you would be comfortable explaining openly to a colleague or to the public.
Values also set the bar for how we treat each other. Disagreement is welcome; disrespect is not.
1.4 Your First 30 Days
Onboarding covers systems access, required training, benefits enrollment, and introductions to the people you will work with most. Your manager will share a plan for your first weeks, including what success looks like in your first quarter.
Ask questions early and often. New colleagues notice things the rest of us have stopped seeing, and that perspective is useful while it is fresh.
1.5 How to Use This Handbook
This handbook summarizes policies, benefits, and workplace practices in plain language. It is a general guide rather than an employment contract, and specific plan documents or written agreements govern where details differ.
Policies evolve. When something changes materially we will communicate the update and refresh the relevant section here.
